If you found the Wide Open Heart Project, welcome!  If you found the Wide Open Heart Project, you are meant to be here.  And it’s good to be here, despite the year we have all experienced. 2020 has forever altered the way we see and experience the world.  My intuition tells me that in some way, whether big or small, the infamous year of 2020 has changed you.   For most of us, the changes were huge. I don’t need to rehash what we already know.  2020 was extremely challenging.  I am certain that as we went inward, it’s quite possible we felt strangely out of tune with ourselves.  I know that is exactly what happened to me.

As I discussed the possibility of starting a new venture this year… the business of helping others heal themselves, it became clear to me by watching the facial expressions or body language of those I was sharing this news with.  “Why now, in the midst of a global pandemic?”

The answer was very clear to me.  Yes. Now.

There is a powerful cataclysmic energy charging the air around us.  Right now.  It is an exciting time to be here on planet earth.

The Wide Open Heart Project idea came to me in June 2018.  Literally, the words “Wide Open Heart Project” came to me in an airport as I was leaving for a trip with my daughter, Lauren.  The voice that came in was so clear and so strong, I barely had time to write it down the message I was receiving. Over the remainder of that year and into early 2020, well before the pandemic managed to uproot all of our lives, I was meditating on what this concept meant, not only to me, but to those around me.

As I dissected the concept of the Wide Open Heart Project… the first three words made sense.  I am a true believer in LOVE.  I am wide open to it!!! I am not talking the romantic kind (although that is really nice too).  Love is love.  Those of you who know me well, know that my love language is love itself.  I live love every day. Some days it’s easier than others.  I am only human, right?  However, it is a way of life for me. I believe that love wins.  In the end, love will win.  The light will always shine, even after the darkest night.  So the idea that opening up wide open to love completely resonated with me.  It felt right.  Then, as I looked closer at the word “project”… it felt a little funny… but as I went deeper into the meaning of the word, it made perfect sense.  Used as a noun, the word project means “an individual or collaborative enterprise that is carefully planned to achieve a particular aim.” Used as a verb, project means to “extend outward beyond something else; protrude.”

We are all projects in process.  Each one of us. I believe in my heart that we all want to feel joy, be happy, content and at peace.  But over time and within the struggles we experience, the set-backs, disappointments and hardships of life, love can erode. It takes more effort, more time and more grace.  The erosion of love for oneself is at the core what turns us away from our innate goodness.  And you know what? It’s hard to love others, our community and our planet when we don’t feel very loving towards ourselves.

Enter the Wide Open Heart Project.  Here we are, on the very cusp of the Age of Aquarius, the age of a humanitarian movement.  The energy of the Age of Aquarius is cosmically one of the most important times in history.  And we are here, right now, living it and experiencing this phenomenon in real time.  It is hard to see the big picture, I know. But right now, I am asking you to do just that.  You and I were put here on earth during this moment in time to change ourselves into beings of light.  As we each begin to transform, heal and be the light, we will have a greater impact on our family, friends and community.  Can you imagine how far-reaching this can be?  Can you see yourself as a catalyst for love?  Can you image yourself as an ambassador for love?  That is exactly what you are here to do.  Let our team at the Wide Open Heart Project, help you.

The team I have assembled is here to assist you on your love journey.  We believe in healing the whole person, body, mind and spirit, holistically. Your well-being is our top priority. My team at the Wide Open Heart Project is highly skilled in teaching you how to begin your healing within the heart chakra, the Stargate, the center of your soul, the path to Source.  With our advanced knowledge and training in Reiki, Nutrition, Yoga and our belief that Mother Nature is a critical component in healing the energy body, we have created a safe space for your healing journey to begin.

As we move into 2021, we will be offering in-person experiences at various locations in Central Ohio.  In the short-term, in an effort to keep everyone healthy and safe from Covid, we will be sharing our expertise on the web.  While this was not what I had planned as I launched the Wide Open Heart Project, this is the format we will use to build our love community.   As things evolve and we are able to bring people together to connect and learn together, we will host outdoor hiking, camping and overnight retreats to deepen the practice of love for oneself and others.  With this unique blend of holistic healing techniques, we hope to spark the light that lives within you.  I am a believer in the messages the heart chakra is here to tell us.

As I close, I wanted to mention that today is the Winter Solstice, December 21, 2020.  When I began to explore an appropriate time to create a soft-web launch for Wide Open Heart, 12/21/20 kept coming into my consciousness.  The Winter Solstice is considered the shortest period of daylight and longest night of the year, when the Sun is at its lowest elevation in the sky.  It has long been a celebration, in many cultures, of the return of the light.  Our mission is the same: to help you return to light in your own heart.

I hope everyone finds peace as we close out these last few days of 2020.  It has been a tough year.  My goal is to be able to gather in person… I want nothing more.  I hope we can do that safely and healthily at some point in the new year.

Thank you for being part of my journey to the heart. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our world.  Your light will always shine, even after the darkest of nights.

Love and light, Michele
